about how beautiful it really is
We decided to leave the tourists' complaints and go along Turkey's southern coast for one day in a small white car with air condition.
There was an ice cream and cola stop in Antalya. One quick stop in the ruins of Phaselis, the paradise for picnicking Turks. An exiting soup in a small kebab-hangout in the tomato-town Kumluca. A great swim in a small cove along the winding coastline. One stop in Myra, whit the tomb and church of St. Nocholas and the ruin from the old theatre. And when the sunset get near, we drove the car back to Side again.
It's when you leave the umbrella-filled beaches that you really understand how beautiful a country can be. Turkey, with its mountains, its great valleys, small towns, overcrowded cars and the infinitely beautiful ocean, that's constantly making me reminded of the greatness of life. About how beautiful it really is.
